I think running a primary school maths club in the form of a casino is crazy, it could encourage them to take up gambling when they are older!

Kids play all the games mentioned anyway. all they've done is put them in the classroom and called it a casino. Really nothing to get knickers in a twist over, in fact nice to see them playing without screens, we find board games like those and card games great fun, none of us gamble apart from my husband does the lottery each week.

Me my brothers and sister played cards for money when we were kids , I didnt turn into a gambler , perhaps because i lost ..

Good point it does teach most kids they won't always win. Very rarely finished a game when we were kids my middle sister was such a bad loser she caused chaos rather than lose.

Its a great way to teach Maths when playing cards as the photo in your link shows.

Texas hold Um Poker (Big gambling in some casinos) is a game of luck but also a bigger game of skill.

Great way to teach % and to work out the reason.

I think when playing card games at Christmas [or whenever] it adds a bit of interest to use *Coins * collected over the years from different countries, as a little incentive . Makes the game a bit more fun to me . I certainly don"t think I am turning my G/C into rampant gamblers .

I doubt they will play for real money, in fact they'd be breaking the law to do so. You are determined to kill the fun.

Thank goodness our children have never gambled, drunk to excess or taken drugs, neither have my siblings, my husband or myself. And before some clown suggests I don't know any of that for sure, I do know it is a fact.
