I love watching a line of ants moving, especially if some of them are carrying bits of leaves.

Plus, if I accidentally disturb a nest, it's fascinating seeing how they all pull together to move all the pupae down under the ground again.

The only time I kill ants is if they start invading the house. Nests outside just get left to their own devices.

I like to see a line of ants moving out, with their little suitcases and boarding passes. We have not had a house ant invasion for years now but it was a nightmare last time. I hate killing any insects but you simply have no choice.

Aye, and the Naked Jungle where an army of red ants swarmed through a jungle stripping everything in their path including some fisherman in a boat who had his face eaten off.

I was nobbut a bairn when I saw that for the first time and was horrified. The film was shown again a few weeks ago on one of the Freeview channels and I found it that boring I damn near fell asleep watching it.
