Dr. Finlay

Remember this series - watched the first episode last night, fortunately, more to come. Its a lovely drama, love the Scottish accent too ....

This gives me fond memories of my Grandmother. We always used to watch it together. I don't think we ever missed an episode. She was particularly fond of Andrew Cruickshank who played Dr. Cameron.

Oh - are you thinking of the black & white version, this is the 80s version and Cameron is ...... Banner - I think .....

Yes it was the original one with Bill Simpson as Dr. Finlay. The housekeeper Janet was played by Barbara Mullen.

Ah - this is the later version, Dr. Cameron is great .....
Didn't get to see the earlier version .....
Annette Crosbie plays the Mullen part in this version .....

Dr. Cameron - the actor was Ian Branan ....
Watched another episode last night, really like this as we dont recall the episodes now ... Charming it is .....

I remember the original Dr.Finlay - The fictional 'Tannochbrae' was based on the real town of Callander. I used to love the way that Dr.Cameron said "Janet!"

I didn't care for the newer version of the programme.
