That is a wonderful story Tiffany, thank you for sharing, can you not find out about the stables that you work at, go back through its history to see if it is in fact Captain Johns or see if anything else happened.

I don't think anyone else ever saw anything, Shirley. If they did they never said anything, it was unusual for anyone to be there that time of night, even later on, when we had the live in head groom, he would have been in bed by then. Later still the management bought the house next door & that was used for staff & students, but that was after my time there. It's a much bigger concern now. I don't even know if the original buildings exist. I'll Google & see if I can find anything out. Though I have tried before & got nowhere.

I'll never know, it was all rumour & guess work. Though Capain Johns did own the stables all those years ago.

This is the stable yard where we saw the ghost.
Taken through the window from the flat above the building & directly over the double doors.

I am the girl at the back, with my back to the camera, next to the man in the flat cap.
Horses are, from L to R back, Bracken, Sean, then in front of Sean, Chiquitita & in front of her Chrissie Rob. I remember the horses names but only one of the people, Sally is holding Chrissie Rob.
