Are You a Collector?

Do you Collect anything interesting as a Hobby? If so, was it an intentional interest, or did it it all start by chance!

Men Only joking I am not a collector of anything now, used to collect bears, the stuffed varieties, and other stuffed toys until the advent of Loki - she demolished a few and I gave them all away (over 200 of them) to a young 12 year old girl whose mother had died. She loved them.

What do you collect? I am just being nosey!!

Hi Brandykins, Finding space for all those stuffed cuddly bears must have been difficult. What a lovely gesture giving them to that young girl, to give a little comfort.

I used to collect Antiques, Model cars, Coins, stamps, old computers but now I am just collecting as many days on this planet as possible.

Soft toys and and a few postcards of mice.

Soon after I met Jenny I created `Animalia` with stories to amuse her.

Gerald is a postcard mouse and has a grandfather(who runs the library) a wife and children-why Gerald? think Pink Floyd.

When we got engaged I bought a soft toy seal-he is called `the seal of approval`

If have two soft toy frogs called Des and Zano,they speak Italian and helped me write a book on `get by in Italian for animalians` which was a christmas present for Jenny.

And of course there are the ``mit mots`-they are not very nice and live on the borders of animalia.

Other animals went christmas shopping one year I photographed them,made a slide show and story and Jenny saw that one christmas eve

I used to collect beer mats, had hundreds of them all unsoiled going back to the early 60's, then I got fed up with the clutter and gave them to my younger brother, he still collects them.

I collect fridge magnets, mainly ones from countries abroad where we have been. I brought 9 back from the different parks in Orlando this year, including one of Harry Potter's wizard hat!

When I was travelling with work I used to collect sunglasses not that many tho, but enough to have a 'collection' lol

Do you stick them on the top of your head ? Why do people do that??

Even on dull days I see it.

Maybe because rich girls in sports cars did it in the movies about 50 years ago?

Not actively collecting now, but did for years: American pewter, glass salts, demitasse and bone china tea cups, candlesticks.
