That's putting it nicely. At my hospital jello was considered a food, apparently!!

Re: A big Connundrum

I think jello is called jelly over here which is usually served with cream or some such as a dessert.

When I say I'm not a large eater, my weight then was just 7st 5lb (can't convert to kilos I'm afraid) but I'm only little, I ate every tiny thing virtually licking the plate because I was so hungry.

For example, at lunch-time there was A sandwich, with perhaps some sort of dessert, which I never eat anyway.

For tea, a small portion of bland mash and something else. The portions would have been better on a side plate and was lost on a dinner plate.

Thankfully, since then I've "piled" on the weight and am now 7st 9lb. It's a mercy I was only in there for three days otherwise I'd have ended up on a drip!

Actually I think Jello is a trademark; anyway I think it's horrid! A nasty garishly colored quivering bit of over-sweetened gelatin masquerading as food! Here's pic:

I just re-read my post, boy do I come thru as a picky eater! Which I suppose I am, but I really don't like Jello! Sorry to rant so much!

People, people, people, Jelly (Jello) can be made interesting - instead of melting the jelly with boiling water, use Vodka (gently warmed) to melt the jelly. Lime flavoured jelly with added vodka - delicious!!!
