The more you love the more it hurts.For a lot of us that special bond with our animal buddies leaves a painful wound when the time comes and it is severed.
The wound heals leaving a scar that doesn't hurt but is there in memory of that bond.
It is so difficult to let go but it will in time come easier to bear.
You will have moments when a trigger will remind you of your loss but you will also be able to reflect on the good times you had together.
Unlike many unfortunate dogs he was obviously very much cared for, so feel good that you gave him the best.
