Re: Christmas Decorations
I do dislike naff and to me those gingerbread style houses are naff, less is more ive always thought. I have a very pretty tree with simple clear glass baubles or turquoise & silver... this year I think it'll be the latter. I have a couple of freestanding shelf santa & snowman decos and a couple of pretty candle arrangements and thats it. I love the tree lights and the fire on in the evening and getting cosy on the sofa with the other half and the dogsRe: Christmas Decorations
Its a lot early not a bit,it must cost a lot to do that, but maybe its to out do the neighbours.I put two sitting down santas either side of the fireplace with their legs dangling and two Robins and thats yer lot.Put Christmas cards in a basket last year saves moving them and picking them up whenevr the door is opened.Sounds a bit Scrooges dont you think.Re: Christmas Decorations

Re: Christmas Decorations
Like Cassie I think less is more. I find it amazing that people spend weeks putting up the outside lights just for other people to look at and they have to foot the electric bill and don't even get to look at their own lights/decorations!!Re: Christmas Decorations
Well! The house opposite me has now put their lights up. Nothing spectacular, but those horrible blue flashing lights covering their front window which I can't fail to see when I walk through my living room.
