I used to get up early-ish when I was working full time but I don't have to do that any longer, so I do enjoy a lie-in these days. Getting up early spoils a good sleep!

I've seriously tried going to bed early (10 p.m.) but then I lie there for about 3 or 4 hours because my mind is far too active.

When I was a baby and couldn't sleep, my dad had to get up and take me for a drive in the car over cobbles and he'd whistle a tune, and that was the only thing that made me sleep, so I've been a night hawk since birth - poor mum.

I'm up at 6:30 and can't sleep in on days off. I guess I'm programmed for an early start. Most nights I'm in bed by 9 pm.
