This deadlock could have been avoided with a binding confirmatory referendum which would have imposed the”will of the people” on parliament and they would not have been able to vote against it but many polls indicated that the “will of the people” had changed and leavers ran scared of holding one

Now we have Boris acting like a dictator trying to rush through a bad deal that will see the Conservatives stripping away standards and rights of those who thought Brexit would improve their lives

You blame EU negotiators for doing their job better than the the UK ones being directed by an incompetent government.

As far as acting on self self interest in Parliament goes Boris is top of the pile by a country mile
And after all this time, you still fail to understand that when a general election or a referenda takes place, the losers should take it on the chin, as has been the democratic way of this country for centuries, be it by 1 vote or 1000 votes.

May I therefore suggest you stop using every excuse in the book to pretend that because Leave won, you can conveniently just move the goalposts. democracy is when you accept you lost. YOU LOST! Get over it.

For once I agree with you. Take a look at boris. In HoC he lost vote after vote, taking defeat on the chin and shin, but still he keeps going strong. You have to admire him for his tenacity.

For 17,4 mln votes he'd need 10-15.000 losses, in your calculus system.

Hi

The Cabinet is split on an Election according to reports,

Some think that they will lose votes to the Brexit Party, letting Labour in in Marginal Constituencies.

You still fail to understand that the we have parliamentary democracy in this country not direct democracy and the referendum was only advisory parliament is acting legitimately. If it had been binding on Parliament then we would not be in this situation. But it wasn’t

As for a general election those who do not form part of the government sit in opposition. They do not have to accept the policies of the government and invariably vote against them

That you call those who, after considering the result of the referendum legitimately decide that it is not good for the country as traitors just demonstrates your ignorance of our political system and that you did not understand the terms of the referendum you voted in

At present there is a deadlock which a general election may not solve but a binding confirmatory referendum would. Why would you be scared of a confirmatory referendum unless you are afraid that now more is known about the pros and cons of leaving the consensus may have changed

https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/11...m-corbyn-video

LEADER of the Liberal Democrats has been accused of making “an absolute mockery” of a second referendum after it emerged that she wouldn’t accept the result if Britons voted to leave a second time.

Not much point to a referendum confirmatory or not when MP's will can only agree to disagree. That's what they fear a second leave vote, then what! No more options.

That's because Boris is too proud (or stupid) to make an alliance with Nigel.

They have an example in italy of what might happen if a combination of brexit party and tories form a government. At least, if it is possible under the british system to form a coalition cabinet consisting of ministers from two parties?
