It is not the same as uncontrolled immigration.

Are you really saying they haven't been egged on by people like yourself refusing to accept the result ? They have been emboldened by the people who refuse to accept they lost. Makes me laugh when remainers get upset at being insulted when even before the vote leavers were racists and xenophobic and thick. Since then we have been all those plus Nazis liars far right it just ramps up all the time.
If everyone had accepted the result then parliament may have come together and made it work. We are a great country but you'd never know that from how remainers talk.

Re: Drumming up racial fear and hatred

Which ever way the whole business goes we will suffer but I think we will suffer more if we stay in than we will by leaving.
If we stay in we will be 'punished' by them over there for having the audacity to think about leaving. We will have tighter laws put on us and the binds that bind us now will be tightened even tighter. If we eventually do leave we will suffer shortages of many things for a while but things will gradually get better. As I have said before we suffered terribly during the second WW at the hands of Hitler and his henchmen when they sent millions of tons of food and other supplies to the bottom of the ocean. We coped and will do so again.
I think I would sooner we left with no deal IE; a clean break than remain half in and half out.

I agree Ben,

However, the country is now full of snowflakes who'd go into blind panic if separated from their playstations for more than five minutes.

Julie I accepted the result and my views do not influence the "elite". I'm not an activist, just say what I think on here.

What I refuse to accept is the no deal nonsense that came up recently as if it were the Holy Grail of attaining the perfect Brexit. That was Never on the agenda when the referendum was being discussed. There was always an understanding we would have some sort of deal with the EU be it Norway, switzerland or Canada + etc. This no- deal nonsense is what is getting up everyone's nose.

As for leave voters, a few of my friends voted that way. Some because of immigration and of the latter I have a friend who does post a fair bit of what I see as xenophobic information on the net, and his numerous leave voting friends post similar and egg each other on. Many of their posts are anti islam too or anti-dianne abbot downright racist memes. That's one out of a few friends. Like I said, some people did vote leave for these reasons and that's what they feel strongly about.

Saying that you don't have the same views doesn't change the fact that some others who voted leave do and those who do are very vocal and prolific about it. What I do know is that none of my remain voting friends share these views. None of my remain voting friends are right wing.

Now he's my friend whatever the views but I was very shocked at some of the posts. So leave have been tainted by this because there are quite a few people who do the same. Not an insult but a fact when you see it with your own eyes.

I have seen this country slated by leave voters here. There is often talk of changing the whole system here. You yourself have said that you want to change the country to a socialist paradise, so if it's a great country then why change it? I think it was doing fine. Yes there has been damage done by the dratted tories but it can be fixed by a change of administration. Not Corbyn unfortunately, he would put the country through the mangle.

Yes there is much illegal immigration. Control of immigration appears to be impossible here. Corbyn apparently wants to completely get rid of migration controls. I think this was voted as a new labour party manifesto promise.

But the "controlled" non EU immigration is higher than the numbers coming from the EU. So how is Brexit going to make any impact on the numbers coming here? They are not coming from the EU these days. If anything there will be far more from outside the EU than there are now because we will have to replace the key workers that we currently source from the EU.

Hello OldGreyFox. I am from Scotland but I am educated well enough to know the difference between Asians living in Yorkshire and Turks who have not joined the EU and have not come to these shores as predicted by your lying hero Nigel Farage.

I'm pretty sure that quite a few of the 17.4 million who listened to this crap would have believed him.

Re: Drumming up racial fear and hatred

Open borders was never going to work Annie, it was obvious to anyone with half a brain that people would migrate to countries who pay the highest wages creating an imbalance ie. The UK, Germany and Sweden....And guess who is now having problems with being swamped with immigrants.

Bruce pointed out recently that we have not got enough arable land here in the UK to support 67 million residents...We also do not have the housing, hospitals, roads or services either...Think Greenham Common, hastily constructed/modernised housing! So why do parties like Labour and Lib Dems see no problem with allowing more immigrants in to flood an already creaking society.....

The main problem in Yorkshire is not Asians Reality, it's Romanians, Bulgarians and Polish. The Polish don't like the Romanians and the Bulgarians because they are lazy, the Romanians don't like the Bulgarians, and the Bulgarians don't like anybody....Bring on the Turks....

I agree but it seems that we cannot control immigration wherever it comes from. We have a big tourism trade and there's nothing to stop people overstaying visas. The figures for illegal immigration are totally understated.

It's not because of wages but because we are a light touch in keeping immigration records and we have no ID cards. Instead of developing a working system the state tries to get landlords, banks and the NHS to act as border guards. That's totally out of order and they should have the infrastructure in place.
