Former England footballer Paul Gascoigne has been cleared of sexually assaulting a woman on a train.

He was also cleared of the lesser charge of assault by beating.

Clearing Mr Gascoigne, Judge Peter Armstrong said: "You are now discharged and free to go." He was told he could apply to have his defence costs paid.
Since it's a jury verdict, no reasons are disclosed.

It's quite simple, the jury found him not guilty and the alleged victim won't get the compensayshun she thinks she deserves.

He used to beat up his wife so sorry if I find this stranger compassion hard to believe but who knows what they think when they are out of their minds on drink .

That is what I read also,SF,...the drink has destroyed him...

Yes,he only has himself to blame...but that doesn't stop me from feeling for him...his family..his children,who have been robbed of a father..a bit like Calum Best...

Children don’t really need drunks as fathers Pauline .
A father is to love and guide his children not be a perpetual embarrassment to them .
