No, no. It was I who asked him how to say "I am a stupid Englishman" in Swedish. I thought if I ever used it, it might raise a laugh!
I learnt a little Danish, my colleagues thought it hilarious to tell me what to say in bars and supermarkets, though the reactions from staff weren't quite what I expected
