And don't feel sorry for lover boy
You know he wants the world to love him and then he goes and spoils it all.

Re: Friend Requests

I actuality don't like the 'friends ' thing , it was ok when we started and there were just a handful of us .
The last time I accepted a request was some years ago and the person got the wrong idea and though it gave him permission to send over friendly messages.
I put a message in my profile after that to say I don't accept friend requests.

Adanac don't be afraid to say 'no' to a friends request, no one is going to shoot you for doing so

Re: Friend Requests

Quite a lot of people don't want to be bothered with the whole friend business.

I'm not sure but I think there's something in the settings that can bounce friend requests back to the sender.

Personally though I'd have a look at their profile & if they seemed ok I'd accept. You can always de-friend them a few days later if you wanted to.

Re: Friend Requests

I tend to accept every request
it doesn't really mean anything

I had a bit of a newbie, mad rush to request people
But it isn't necessary

Harumph,
Robert, That made me laugh, as l was a victim of your ‘now you see me.. now you don’t’ friends list!

When l saw you had deleted your other friends as well as me. l decided it was time to stop crying into my (useful) pillow and invite you on a little trip down to Beachy Head to play, the famous ‘Timberrrrr’ game!!

Re: Friend Requests

I suppose, it is very thoughtful and quite flattering that someone would ask you to be their friend.

I usually accept Friend requests but l prefer if they have been a member for a reasonable time!

On other sites, l would not accept ‘friend’ requests from men who just had all female friends. I didn’t want to be part of the harem...and l told them so!!

Re: Friend Requests

I think a cooling off period should be applied to friend requests (especially opposite gender ones), about four years should be sufficient.
