Aww, I did notice your "2 questions" thread, Mups. I think I got the gist of it...

For what it's worth, I would politely tell the roofer you can't hang on any longer and you will have to go elsewhere.
On the health issue, complain to the doctor's superiors. Don't put up with bad practice by medical "professionals".

People who use the word ain't just to be cute in conversation...or maybe it is their normal way of speaking.

Grates at me each time I see it in print or hear it spoken. Grrrr
