Queue Jumping........

..........would you be brave enough? In local Post Office this morning getting some stamps. Queueing up in an orderly fashion as you do, two people in front of me and a chappie being served at the counter. As the chappie moved away from the counter this lady appeared from nowhere saying very loudly ' I shouldn't have to queue up at my age which is 92' and promptly went to the counter for her pension.

No one spoke a word as we were all gobsmacked. As the lady turned to leave she didn't say a word and she and her pension just left.

After she had left we all burst out laughing Got to hand it to her-she certainly was a gutsy 92 year old. Wouldn't have the nerve to try that no matter what age I was.

But taking a little bit of advantage of her advanced years; could have asked if anyone would mind if she skipped the queue. Most decent people would be OK with that ...

Doubt if I'd ever have the nerve to do that!

It's always the oldies who are worst!
They make my husband cross, as they kind of 'don't notice' his 6!4" in the queue and wheedle their way in front. They then have the cheek to say "Oh sorry, I didn't see you there"
