Proverbs/Sayings...

What are your favourite sayings/proverbs?

Couple of mine are: I'm a great believer in 'You reap what you sow'/'what goes around comes around'- it seems so true in everyday life. Also 'every cloud has a silver lining'- cheery thought for when things are not always going right for you.

This too shall pass.
The glass is half full.
Tomorrow is another day.
It could be worse.
Any day above ground is a good day.

Re: Proverbs/Sayings...

Years ago we had a plumber working in the house and a curious, chatty 3 year old.
The plumber came out with a lovely saying 'He could talk a gramophone to scrap metal'
'He needs a pipe to the barrel,' was another one from the same source.
