Some of my favorites are:-1) There's nowt so queer as folk (Popular with folk from the Norhtern towns of England and in use long before queer meant what it does today)
2) No ones perfect, but a team can be (Popular with management consultants
and IMO used to justify their exorbitant fees 
doesn't apply to governments BTW))3) Take the rough with the smooth (Something which we are all forced to do these days
or if not risk being sectioned )4) A fool and his money are soon parted (This is one I particularly like, especially when reading about some of the TV and film workers that populate our screens these days
and of course all those who've been taken in by the crude and malicious letters from Nigeria)
