Muddy I find that article to painful to read...
I first saw Alison on Robert Winston's 'A child of time' and followed her and her son Paris on the updates.
Life can be very cruel and disproportionately so for some people like Alison. Such a sad ending to what was an uplifting story of one woman's bravery and determination
I don’t see this has got anything to do with publicity stunts .
Is there something I have missed
She is a severely disabled person who had a child .
It must have been hard for the young man people are cruel.

I just think that a naked disabled woman on a plinth may be OK for mature thinkers but as you say, children can be cruel enough as it is without that sort of ammunition. I wouldn't want my mum naked on a plinth.
But that was 19 years ago the boy wasn’t even born .
I doubt those who bullied him even knew it was there .
His troubles came I would think not from publicity from the plinth but from the cruelty of people now .

He was tormented by classmates who called his mother 'A Crip' and a quick google of his mother's name will show pictures of the statue. It's not difficult to find out who she is.
