We met in 1986 at a father's day BBQ at the home of a mutual friend. We got talking and I asked her out. We were married two years later and have been together ever since. Everything about her seemed special. Her sense of humour, warm nature, intellect, style and her looks. She bowled me over from the first minute.

I was introduced to my husband I had just been to a rather posh function so was quite smart ( not my usual look ) He was and is such a lovely man .

It was accidental, it took many years for amazement to set in.

Once, we had a friend staying & she was going to stay with another friend, I'd better explain that both ladies were my pen pals.
Anyway, due to various reasons we, OH & I, said we would take my friend half way, if the other friend would meet us, (I don't drive.) It was arranged & we met the other lady in Weymouth.
I had never met her before though we'd written to each other for several years. My other friend had met her before.
I was drawn to her immediately, such a lovely person & I knew that the moment she shook my hand.
I felt an empathy with her, but that brief meeting was never repeated, sadly.
Was this what you meant?
