After two weeks the shop got its supply of spuds reduced because of rationing so they put up an sign:

`Thanks to Himmler, the chips will be similar`

On the third week, the shop got hit by a bomb and was totally destroyed. A sign on the pile of rubble read:

`Thanks to Goering, we're going back whoring`

I hope so...........There's not enough cod in Scotland as it is and haddock is a foul substitute.

I've no idea why Scottish chip shops go with haddock over cod!

I prefer haddock to cod but it's mostly coley or monkfish round our way now instead of cod.
