I honestly thought that Chinese lanterns had been banned. Googling the subject suggests that it has been down to local council decisions and sporadic. Very odd, since AFAIK lanterns don't really recognise boundaries!!

I thought they were banned too, Dex.
I know the farmers don't like them because they scare the livestock, and also could set fire to hay and straw bales.
