Lockdown bonuses

So, as some of us are in lockdown, going into or foolishly thinking you’re coming out of lockdown, lets look at the silver lining of this lockdown cloud…

What unexpected lockdown savings have you experienced apart from the usual vehicle wear and tear.

An unexpected bonus is my nice french perfumes are still stocked up since I’m not spraying myself with expensive perfume each day. My colleagues can’t ‘smell’ me in a teams meeting

Share your unexpected lockdown bonuses on this thread.

More time in the garden...
4500 assorted seeds from my grandchildren some of which are growing well,

Not having to attend some events I would rather avoid because of isolating

Spending less not sure why ... I don't go out much to spend anyway.

Re: Lockdown bonuses

Haven't had to buy clothes as I'm living in tracksuits and T-shirts,even when I do go in as there is no one in the office I can still where the same stuff.
Saved a lot on entertaining.no pubs,clubs,restaurants.
Managed to actually find time to search for cheaper car, house, pet insurance rather than just letting it renew itself.
Time -- I've actually got some time for myself now.

Clothing bill - yes, I’m the same but we’re prohibited from going into the office
Entertainment- yes, saved there as well
Insurance- I always do that but I’m in that industry so I know better
Time - yes to this
Cappuccino- I’ve saved lots on not buying my morning cuppa.

No travel expenses = saving money. Also no (unhealthy) snacks from local shops, which has improved my diet tremendously. Win win all round! Sadly lost my job in the process though, as there was no need to open back up. So swings and roundabouts.

Ah yes I forgot to mention Costa Coffee. I ordered myself a Tassimo coffee machine which has saved me a small fortune and I've discovered new coffees also.

Re: Lockdown bonuses

As I’m retired lockdown hasn’t really thrown up any bonuses for me.
Except where I had holidays booked they were deferred and had 10% of price refunded for doing so.
