Just having a look at your photos, and saw the cops one...do they ever say anything about you taking their photo?

That happens, the pics get deleted.

If I ask first, they pose, I take a pic, they think I've finished, they drop their guard but I'm still shooting. I do it with friends & family, at weddings & other events, they always like the result, they look better when unaware.

Strangers in the street, I get some shots, a quick burst, if they look I stop, explain my camera club sent me out on a mission or something. If there's a good one I keep it, I keep about 1 in 10 people pics.

I use a camera with a silent shutter too.

...just a technique, something I learnt at an early age: people don't look their best when they know they're being photographed.

That is quite an interesting take on things D00d. I know what you mean, but I'm sure your subjects would beg to differ!

Not one of those shots is below glossy magazine standard, d00d, have you done this professionally?

My only niggle is your remissness in failing to include a shot of a policeman beating up a black man, in the last set of pictures.

You have to keep up with the current trend in this game, d00d.

Here's a little tip: The next time you're doing a bit of street photography, stick a Pringles tube on your lens. You'll be amazed, trust me.
