Taking photos with a mobile.

Hi

I am having problems taking photos in bright sunshine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your screen reflective, Swimmy, so you can't see what you are photographing?

Re: Taking photos with a mobile.

Ok well, what is it you are trying to photograph? Mobile phone cameras generally have an automatic focus, so it might be a good idea to rest the camera on something, like books or a rock. They pick up the slightest shake, unfortunately, and don't always stabilise quickly enough. As for reflective screen, try shading the sun from the screen with something. I think you can get an anti-glare screen cover for phones but I don't know what make your phone is.

If you can find something to rest the phone on - even the back of a deckchair while you hold the phone to take a picture, that should help keep it still. Also stand in a shadowy bit so the screen doesn't glare, might help too

Focus, aperture etc on my phone is set by touching the screen in the middle of the scene. I don't know enough about phones to say if this is the same with all of them.

Hi

I am not a great photographer.

I have a ten year old Sony Camera, which I rarely use.
