Exposing for the colour yellow

One of the hardest, (I find), colours to expose for.

My keeper rate for this type of photo is something like 20-1

They are great PooBear. I can't honestly say I've had trouble with yellow, but maybe I'm just not as discerning as you .

I took this picture yesterday. The first rose I've ever grown.
Very pleased with the colour.

I don't seem to have that problem. I think it has a lot to do with camera and lens make

Beautiful flowers PooBear. There are several different shades of yellow among yellow flowers in different seasons, some are more of a lemon yellow ranging up to an almost mustard yellow.

Yours looks perfect to me.

Mine here is what I would call a Spring yellow, two different yellows taken back in March.

Beautiful polyanthus Mags, and perfect in that yellow bowl. Yes, it is surprising the range of colours in the yellow part of the spectrum.

Beautiful Mags.
I think the yellow bowl sets them off a treat too.

Re: Exposing for the colour yellow

I haven't really had any trouble with capturing yellow on film. Or perhaps I should say on SD card
