Ron matey - what proficiency test??? - we didn't have one down here when I was growing up. My junior school was literally at the bottom of the back garden, but when I progressed to secondary school I used to 'bike' there.

It would seem my parents failed to understand the order these things go in! I had a tricycle first, then a two-wheeled bike and then my Dad and brother made me a go-kart (didn't have pedals, but it's close )
