Driverless Cars

I think we had a thread about this a while back, but not sure.

The driverless cars on the news today.

1. Why? What is the actual point of them?
2. Will using your mobile be legal then?
3. Will you still need a driving test?
4. Are you sitting in the car, but not driving, or do you operate it from home with a remote, to go and pick the wife up for you?
5. Can you still be 'done' for drink driving?

Re: Driverless Cars

This is a foregone conclusion. Soon (not sure how long) everyone will be using one. Enjoy driving while you can.

Re: Driverless Cars

At least they will probably have more sense than to engage in road rage.

Re: Driverless Cars

I was seriously thinking of giving up driving in the near future, I don't think I'll bother now. If I keep going another few years I won't need to drive.

Good question Spitty, by the time they're finished we won't need brains and those who do can get a packet of them in the local supermarket, just boil them in the bag.
