Millions of Americans are "awake" and have had to watch their country be systematically dismantled by the corrupt global oligarchy. They have watched whilst most of their long standing constitutional rights have been stripped from them. This includes even the most basic and fundamental such as the right of Habeas Corpus. This is the right of anyone to be able to question the legitimacy of the imprisonment of another person and to force a court hearing to determine if they have been unlawfully imprisoned.When the corrupt ruling elite attack the populous in this way, altering the fundamental laws to suit their whims and agendas, the end-game is inevitable. There will be a bloody revolution and Americans know it is coming and have been preparing for it for some years, stockpiling food, weapons, ammunition and so on.
Of course US Government also know this and have been preparing ways to manage it. They even passed a law that states American citizens may not stockpile foods and provisions in rural places like caves (i.e. making retreats).
The Government will establish martial law and that will not be pretty. Take a look at this video clip of the fat gun toting, donut eating police dealing with peaceful protests by university students. They simply sat in a line with linked hands to protest. For that, they got totally pepper sprayed.

This kind of activity will result in significant anger when it goes national and that's when the ground war will begin. The Gov't want to change arms laws of course to make it illegal for citizens to have guns, to make their job easy. Can't see Americans handing over all their weapons though.
The revolution is surely coming one way or another.

When other people invade your space, hurt your loved ones or kill them then your circumstances would change pretty quickly.
Note that owning a gun does not mean you need to fire it and if you do fire it, you don't have to fire it at someone. The sight of a gun is a bug deterrent for many people and seeing one fire live ammo at say a wall is equally convincing.
The countries which have nuclear capability don't use it, it simply exists as a deterrent.

Go to an American gun shop. Tell him you only want something that looks scary and it doesn't even need to be able to shoot. He'll tell you to go next door to McDonald's to increase your girth if "scary" is all you want.
