I'm sure we can all get "blase" about threads such as this, because after all it isn't happening to us or our daughters or granddaughters, at least not yet as far as we know. It is happening to others though and if, or when, it starts happening in UK will we still not want to know? Will we still have the same attitude when it happens to someone we know, or know of?

We already know that the authorities everywhere don't want us to know, but personally I do want to know. I would want to know what to tell my daughter or granddaughter before she left on a night out. I would want her to be aware of just how dangerous it is now to go to some events etc and I would want her to be prepared to defend herself by any means possible.

I know there is nothing that we can do about this, but we can say what we think about it and vent our feelings here if nothing else. I'm pretty certain we all know the genie is out of the bottle and it's going to virtually impossible to get him back in it.

A 30-year-old woman in Lund was out with her child last Wednesday. A young Arab man stopped to ask her to translate something from his mobile telephone. As she translated for him he asked her how old she was and if she was married. She realized he wasn't interested in any translation so she said goodbye and started to walk away. That's when he took hold of her and started kissing her and making other advances. She managed to fight her way clear of him and ran home with her child.

Thank God someone tells it like it is! This really is what we want to know … what to tell our wives and daughters. I've just talk with my wife about it. I told to never talk to Arabs, no matter what they say or ask her. Well, I didn't need to tell her. She says that she doesn't want to go out alone at all.

Yes. It is imperative that we have open discussions on the subject. As it is, it seems as though the immigrants are a band while we haven't yet come together to solve the problem. We are acting as individuals. Matter of fact, the response I just submitted has one more thing to say. That woman from Lund started a discussion on FaceBook to talk about the problem and warn other women. FaceBook shut it down.

The problem we have here is that the BBC and ITV often ignore European news, they also repeat the same stories over and over again . I often watch Euronews, you get a much better idea about what's going on.
I especially like ( not really the right word) the "No Comment " report which shows things going on in different trouble spots etc.with no commentary, very poignant.

Of course we need to know what's going on, and we need to discuss it.
It's when we don't know and don't talk and are not aware that it starts to get dangerous.

Indeed ruthio. Head in sand because it´s happened elsewhere will help nobody. The more aware we are of what is going on, perhaps the better able we will be to deal with it when it´s our turn.

Accept it, Sweden is a gone and dead country. This as you have finally come to understand is not recent news, the world has been telling you for years not months. Next Norway, Holland and even Spain.
