I didn't care for her condescending manner,or her policies...except one....

During the first Gulf war Saddams army was crushed and he was bottled up in Bagdhad.Due to pressure from the Saudis and others,Bush Senior and John Major withdrew our forces leaving Saddam in power.Maggie stated shortly afterwards that had she still been in power she would have insisted on finishing the job and removing Saddam.

This made perfect sense and would have altered the whole course of history...no second gulf war!!....troops left in Afghanistan after 9/11 and finishing the job there instead of being sent to Iraq and allowing the Taliban to re group...the reason we're still there.

Another case of 'if only' I guess...
