Re: Scammed of £70,000 with one phone call
I watched her on a programme tonight on ITV at 7.30pm. It was all about scams, like the one she fell victim to. The good news is, her bank agreed to refund the 70,000. These rotten bastards target mainly elderly people, and it's crime that is increasing alarmingly.Re: Scammed of £70,000 with one phone call
In my opinion, the only people who would be unaware of these scams are those who are completely devoid of any forms of media outlets, albeit television, the newspapers and the radio.Re: Scammed of £70,000 with one phone call
I use the Banking App on my phone most days, just a quick check to see everything is as it should be. Lately when it comes on there is a message about never giving anyone details over the phone about your accounts, even if the caller insists they are calling from the bank. It says to hang up straight away, report the call to the bank from another phone if possible, or by email.
