Re: RNLI lost the plot - donations diverted to foreign "aid"

If the International Development Fund has given funds to take part in an exchange programme run by the International Maritime Rescue Federation , then I don't see the problem. It's not your money to be worrying about.

If it involves OUR RNLI then I see a huge problem with it, just as I see a huge problem with OUR taxes being used on ANYTHING outside of the UK.

No it wont PD, we just go back to the old framework of

Works for me. At least hopefully it is one part of life that could escape from being devestation by political correctness. Did you see how two of the incredibly brave men who man a lifeboat were sacked for having saucy tea cups at one lifeboat station?

Bloody ridiculous.

No matter where funding comes from it should be spent on the UK.

The money being spent on things outside of the UK, no matter how much of a "good cause" amounts to misappropriation of funds.

I do wonder what the purpose of the RNLI charity was declared to be when it was first registered and if it was changed then when, by whom, and changed to what.
Exactly! What a bunch of cocks they are. And the millenials are just as thick.

Surely if the RNLI are all about saving lives, then sending women into the sea wearing tents is not the best of ideas.

The incredibly brave men ? Maybe they are brave, but would you trust them with your daughter ? ::

"One volunteer was stood down for social media activity which targeted a member of RNLI staff without their knowledge and produced graphic sexual images which went far beyond banter.
"The other volunteer produced a hardcore pornographic image of a fellow crew member on a mug."

Well I'd certainly trust them more to save my life than I would you.

I didn't ask if anyone would trust them with their lives, I asked ArtT if he would trust them with his daughters.

It might seem strange, but because they are in a boat sometimes, does not mean they can abandon all rules pertaining to decency and conduct .
Plus we don't know what goes on. They are on call at any time day or night, they could have been over the limit, or late or not woken up or drugs in their system . No one is going to divulge that info .

If ones daughters were in a boat in distress the answer would be yes !
Decency is when men volunteer to put their own lives at risk in order to help others.
