Dartford Crossing

Got a teeny-weeny problem here, we are flying out from Gatwick in a few weeks, and have to go over the crossing to get there.
Now they have gone "cashless", just wonder how we are going to manage ?
Any thoughts would be welcome.

I'm probably being thick here, but do you mean because you don't have any cards?

If that's the case, you could put some money on the likes of a Caxton card, which you can buy and use like a debit card.

Sorry if I'm talking rubbish

Hi Apricot,

There is a website for Dartford Crossing, it tells you that you have to pay in advance on the Internet by card. Susie x

Re: Dartford Crossing

I wonder how tourists would pay. Does anyone know? Visa? Mastercard? Amex?

Thanks for the link, but I couldnt see anywhere on the page regarding payments from foreign tourists in a car.

I have some coming over in a few weeks, and that is the crossing they would be using. Looks as though they cant without paying a fine...
