Elsie gets those she isn't keen on me picking them off but doesn't mind if we wash them away with as has been mentioned cooled boiled water. I try to do it each morning so they are tiny. Only thing Elsie isn't keen on is anyone touching near her eyes I think when we were having all the eye tests when she was a puppy she got a bit shy of having them touched. Anything else I think you could cut her leg off and she'd let you do it !

I am so glad.
Dark tear stains look awful, especially on white faces, and it needn't be like that.

Mups - I tried this on Willow - as she sometimes has tear stains - and it works for her too!

Well done Julie.
Thank you mups, yes I agree I have never had a problem with any of mine before, despite having pale faces they all had clean eyes. Just a little boiled cooled water has taken care of the area. I was pretty stumped by missy though as it had obviously been an on going problem for a long time to get to this state.
