Triskaidekaphobia

Are you superstitious or for you is this just a lot of unproven bunkum about Friday 13th?

There are some almost unpronounceable words to describe this particular phobia –
friggatriskaidekaphobia, paraskevidekatriaphobia or triskaidekaphobia, but what do you think of the superstition surrounding Friday 13th? Does this date hold any fear for you and if so why?

13 round a table?

Walking under ladders?

Hotels without 13th floor?

Seems to be plenty of superstitious people around.

Never gave the date a thought - but it would not have worried me anyway.

Re: Triskaidekaphobia

I think if we are superstitious, it’s our mother’s fault.

My mother was and l’m afraid it’s left me ‘superstitionly damaged’!

I don’t mind Friday the 13th though but if l enter a house through the front door, l won’t leave by the back door.

When l put knives in the dishwasher, l check that they aren’t crossed. (I’m not OCD!)
