Living off the back of these oh so hard treated poorly paid worker diddumses? If people with a few Bob didn't put their gelt at risk by creating employment where would those workers even have a job and in any case every risk must have an element of positive ROCE.
Your parents and mine Todgy, and indeed myself were living in
different times with different societies to the present day situation
and l believe that l had better and more opportunities to drag myyself
upwards, for instance l managed to get an apprenticeship when
apprenticeships were really apprenticeships with 1day a week at
technical college with examinations etc? And then,as you say l
was pepared to relocate for better money, and every day l searched
the newspapers for better jobs!
But having said that, the jobs and opportunities were there as uk was
supposedly rebuilding after the war! I dont think this is the situation
now is it?
The problem is made worse by the fact that if people are born into
a culture of dependancy they tend to stay with that culture and it
becomes a way of life! I strongly believe that the present crisis
should be used to press gang all healthy recipients of benefits into
farm work etc to earn their keep, and withdraw their benefits untill
their contract has finished? Maybe some of them could then break
the habit of loafing?

Maybe build up a bit of a buffer? Only to find that you must use your buffer before getting any benefits.
Or spend everything that comes in, get the benefit of all that spending and immediately qualify for assistance.

Punish the frugal and reward the spendthrift.
The answer to the buffer question Tregonsee, Don put it in the
bank! Put it under the bed!!
Its not viable anymore to use banks, nthe interest is shyte!

Well there you go then .... I'm doing the right thing .... I'm worried about money and already had to shuffle money around and draw out a grand from my savings.
I hope after this is all over I get an invite to Buckingham Palace to receive my award for philanthropic public spiritedness.

Hi

I am continuing to pay my Cleaner even though she cannot come

She has been so supportive over the last six years when I have been ill from time to time.

Payback time for a single Mom with two kids.

Why ???

Its my money and I pay onto the state like everyone else ?

The real issue is it doesn't matter how much you pay in everyone gets the same out of it.

Yes, it's your money and so you should use it to provide for yourself. Only when you no longer can should you've a penny of state organised charity.
