A very disturbed nights, with flashing lights outside,

A trip out to deliver food to an old neighbour and then back to lockdown.

No frost here for a change but a duller day forecast than the last few which have been gloriously sunny and warm.

Just walking the dogs first thing then some more diy and painting on the cards for me, maybe a film this afternoon if I can find one I fancy.

Frosty here this morning - enough to be crunchy under foot along the river bank. Back to lockdown and hot buttered toast.

Good morning everybody.

A bit duller here today but I hope to finish my jobs in the garden.

Grrr I am mad at myself - Karen (my daughter) bought me a load of shopping yesterday & I thought I was set up for a while. Just realised I need sugar. Do I act very daring & nip to the shop for it myself - at off peak hours of course? I don't like asking her again - she had to queue outside Sainsburys yesterday. She said it was horrific!!

Hopefully Ady & Pauls might be going out somewhere. I might ask them before I venture to the shop myself.

Good morning from sunny Norn Iron. I will have to go out this morning for supplies to do us to the middle of next week and also get stuff for a neighbour. We are sharing the shopping trips taking it turn about.
Will do some gardening later if I have the energy!

Good morning from ‘out in the rural sticks’ to you all!

Cold this morning. Sunny to start then becoming cloudy with isolated showers, feeling chilly is the forecast. Maximum temperature 11ºC.

Another day of enforced isolation. I know that when retiring I wanted a ‘quieter’ life, but in that respect this is ridiculous!

It is not all gloom and doom.

Been chatting to the nice neighbours over the fence.

Social Distancing, but still Social Contact.

They are both still working.

She is working in Childcare for NHS Staff and has expanded her hours.

He has changed his job from general cleaning for the Council to specialist cleaning in high risk areas.

Both lovely people.

The unsung local heroes who are doing everything they can.

Good morning all ... hope everyone is well.

Isnt it weird having very little to report here except staying home, one good thing its lovely and sunny so at least we can get out in the garden.

My little Grand-kids are face timing me every day but the little two year old really doesn't understand why I'm not visiting and why he cant come here which is very difficult to explain in language he understands....upsetting thinking about it.

Oh well keep busy everyone and stay safe x

Good morning everyone dull with a cold northerly wind.

The order of frozen fruit arrived this morning from a farm about 20 miles away, it should have arrived yesterday but it was put in the wrong consignment and has been all over the countryside. I assumed the farm being local some deliveries would be by a local courier too.
The courier silently placed the broken box and melted fruit on the doorstep at 8am and drove away before I could get there otherwise I would have refused to accept it
I am waiting to hear from the fruit farm, I don't think they work on Saturdays but I have emailed them. The 3 bags of melted fruit are in the garage, I might be having 3 kilos of stewed gooseberries for lunch
Not a good start to the day.

It's too cold to go outside I will do some cleaning ...
