'It's statistically impossible that I lost': White House releases 46-minute 'address' by Trump

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-Facebook.html

Soon-to-be ex-President Donald Trump released a bizarre 46-minute video that he posted on Facebook where he called for the election to be 'overturned' and admitted his remarks would be 'disparaged.'

Rather than pick any number of venues where he might deliver important remarks before an audience or with reporters present who might ask questions, Trump spoke before cameras from the White House, with repeated and awkward cuts by editors. There were five editing jumps in the first three minutes of the video alone, giving in an awkward pace despite being shot at the center of U.S. Government power.

He made repeated claims of fraud, dead people voting, mysterious anomalies in voting machines, and alleged corruption in big cities with Democratic votes that went for Joe Biden – despite his attorney general and a raft of judges not accepting claims of widespread fraud.

This election was rigged. Everyone knows it. I don't mind if I lose an election, but I want to lose an election fair and square. What I don’t want to do is have it stolen from the American people. Millions of votes were cast illegally in the swing states alone. If that's the case, the results of the individual swing states must be overturned and overturned immediately. Some people say that's too far out. That's too harsh. Well does that mean we take a president and we've just elected a president, where the votes were fraudulent? No. It means you have to turn over the election.'
At one point, he appeared to connect his push to overturn election results to his personal legal situation.

'Now, I hear that these same people that failed to get me in Washington have sent every piece of information to New York so that they can try to get me there,' Trump said, in reference to prosecutors who have been investigating his company over possible allegations of insurance or tax fraud.

Trump is not just deluded anymore - to any sane person, he appears to be "bonkers" ..... the archetypal "Mad Dictator" .....

Re: Trump - The Long Goodbye

This week's Private Eye has a nice little piece:

"Joe Biden wins election for 38th time since winning election.

With the Pennsylvania result being ratified, Joe Biden has once again won the election he won 16 days ago, despite President Trump's refusal to concede. Sources close to Mr Trump say he's growing increasingly frustrated that his attempts to have himself declared the winner of the presidential election are being hampered by the fact he lost it"

Trump's latest batch of election lawsuits fizzle as dozens of losses pile up

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...eorgia-arizona

For a man obsessed with winning, Donald Trump is losing a lot.

In the month since the election, the president and his legal team have come no closer in their frantic efforts to overturn the result, notching up dozens of losses in courts across the country, with more rolling in by the day.

According to an Associated Press tally of roughly 50 cases brought by Trump’s campaign and his allies, more than 30 have been rejected or dropped, and about a dozen are awaiting action.

The advocacy group Democracy Docket put Trump’s losses even higher, tweeting on Friday that Trump’s team had lost 46 post-election lawsuits following several fresh losses in several states on Friday.
Of course, Trump's mugs are paying for all this litigation:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...eorgia-arizona

Even in defeat, President Trump continued to raise money at some of the fastest rates of the year, pulling in $207.5 million in the month since Election Day along with the Republican Party.

Mr. Trump’s campaign apparatus has continued to aggressively solicit donations under the guise of supporting his various legal challenges to the election of Joseph R. Biden Jr., but as of now 75 percent of donations goes to a new political action committee that Mr. Trump formed in mid-November, up to the PAC’s legal limit of $5,000. The other 25 percent goes to the Republican National Committee. Only if a donor gives more than $6,000 do any funds go to Mr. Trump’s formal “recount” account.

His campaign did not release a breakdown of how the $207.5 million was divided. The funds are split among the new PAC, called Save America, the R.N.C. and two committees operated jointly by the party and the campaign, with some money also going toward paying off Mr. Trump’s campaign debts.
Much good will it do him …..

US Supreme Court rejects Trump-backed bid to overturn election

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55283024

The US Supreme Court has rejected an unprecedented attempt to throw out election results in four battleground states that was backed by President Donald Trump.

The lawsuit, filed this week by the state of Texas, sought to invalidate results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The lawsuit was supported by 19 state attorneys general and 127 Republican members of Congress.

But the Supreme Court ruled on Friday that Texas did not have legal standing to bring the case, in a brief order rejecting the bid.

"Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognisable interest in the manner in which another state conducts its elections," the court said.
The ruling represents a setback for Mr Trump, who has previously suggested, without evidence, that the result of November's presidential election would be settled in the Supreme Court.

Electoral college vote may be knockout blow to Trump's ploy to subvert election

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...te-biden-trump

Trump on Monday could suffer a withering blow to his increasingly hopeless effort to overturn the results of the US presidential election when 538 members of the electoral college will cast their ballots and formally send Joe Biden to the White House.

Under the arcane formula which America has followed since the first election in 1789, Monday’s electoral college vote will mark the official moment when Biden becomes the 46th president-in-waiting. Electors, including political celebrities such as both Bill and Hillary Clinton, will gather in state capitols across the country to cement the outcome of this momentous race.

Normally, the process is figurative and barely noted. This year it will carry real political significance.

Trump continued his hopeless effort over the weekend, sparking political unrest in several cities including the nation’s capital. On Sunday morning he tweeted in all caps that this was the “most corrupt election in US history!”.

In an interview with Fox & Friends that aired on Sunday, he insisted that his anti-democratic mission was not over. “We keep going and we’re going to continue to go forward,” he said, before repeating a slew of lies about the election having been rigged.

Trump’s barefaced untruths about having won key states including Pennsylvania and Georgia went entirely unchallenged by the Fox News interviewer, Brian Kilmeade.
Who knows how this will end ..... ?

Was it also in that interview that he (once again) stated that he was, in effect, the second coming in that if it wasn't for him, there would be no vaccine for another 5 years.

Indeed it was:

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/tru...ntech-timeline

President Trump said finding a coronavirus vaccine would have taken "five years" if he weren't president during an interview that aired Sunday.

"If I wasn't president? According to almost everybody, even the enemy, if I wasn't president, you wouldn't have a vaccine for five years," Trump told Fox News' Brian Kilmeade. "OK, I push the FDA and companies and everybody else involved like nobody's ever been pushed before."
Barefaced lies ..... but Trump's mugs will believe them and Trump's chumps will spread them .....
