Re: U n b e l i e v a b l e !!

Hi

I find some posts hilarious.

We are leaving the EU to get back our own Sovreignty.

We are fed up of being dictated to.

The SNP want an Independent Scotland becuase they are fed up of being dictated to by Westminster.

Exactly the same reason we voted for Brexit.

Scotland will be fine, they have the oil, gas and fisheries revenues England does not.

They could also sell us vast amounts of energy.

Er, no.
The SNP want to swap a devolved Scotland for EU membership where, strangely, they will be "dictated to" far more than they currently are as a member of the UK.

And Scotland does not earn anywhere near enough from the things you mention to fund independence - this is very widely recognized, and it's why the SNP cannot provide a complete budgetary proposal for independence.

Re: U n b e l i e v a b l e !!

I wonder who will be allowed to vote in any Scottish referendum?

Would those born in Scotland but now living in England, or abroad, for work reasons, be allowed to vote?

Would those born in Foreign Countries, e.g. EU Countries, Asia, etc., be allowed to vote because they rent a house in Glasgow?

What is a Scotsman (Scotswoman)?

My mother was Scottish, would I qualify?

It's a pertinent question because, after seeing how votes were allowed in the Brexit ref, it's clear that certain voters, from elsewhere, could swing the vote.

You want evidence that the SNP want to leave the UK and join the EU?
What planet you been visiting and for how long ............ ? ? ?
Or do you want evidence that the EU is geographically further away?
Or that there are 27 other heads of governments there all with their own agendas, not one as in the UK?
Or that Scotland then as a part of the vastly larger EU would not be far more insignificant than it is as part of the UK?

Scotland's huge defecit?
"Scotland entered this crisis with a budget deficit of 8.6% of GDP, compared with 2.5% for the UK as a whole, according to its own “Gers” (government expenditure and revenue in Scotland) exercise, published in the summer."
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/i...r-it-fwl0vrwjc
(The actual defecit as you can see is in GERS; look it up.)

Scotland’s budget deficit this year is likely to be a sky-high 26% to 28% of GDP, according to David Phillips of the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), and it will stay above 10% of GDP for years even when this crisis is over.

If you want more than that you'll have to wait ........ oh, ten years or so until there is a firm economic record of a reasonable period of time after Brexit.

Access to a 90 billion trade deficit you mean R1?
After 40 odd years membership of the "largest trading bloc in the
world" that deficit continues to rise ??
