Thanks Gumbud. I'm going to try that chickpea recipe as a lunchbox for work. Might parboil the carrots before roasting though.

Have you tried roasting a celeriac yourself? I was wondering what it tastes like! I've never cooked with it as it's one of those scary mystery veg, like mooli. Plus it looks impossible to slice.

thanks ST and AnnieS - celeriac - I think a few years back I did try it and slow cooked it in the oven - it tasted a bit bland from recollection but probably needed added sauces or spices ya know? - did they suggest such stuff in the recipe can you recall?

The recipe suggests just adding salt, coriander seeds and some lemon wedges to sprinkle it with. I wonder if skewering it with some spices would be better, but you'd probably need a power drill!

No it comes out very soft actually but still bland if I recall - so spicing up yes!
