Re: Is anyone going to buy one of the new iPhones?

Phones are no longer phones but mini computors .
I have an ancient Nokia that I use for making phone calls.
mr M has an iPhone which he uses for making phone calls - its wasted on him .

Re: Is anyone going to buy one of the new iPhones?

Well, I caved in and bought the iPhone XS Max 256GB, £1249 plus a half-price £12.50 for a very protective case. It's the most powerful smartphone in the world according to all the figures. I almost bought the 512GB version.

This thing is a beast, but at least I sold my X for £600 so didn't take too much of a loss.

I guess people want different phones for different lifestyles, I bought a Samsung J3 a couple of years ago for around a hundred quid. It does all that I ask of it and it could probably do a thousand other things that I don't need, so I doubt that I will ever have to upgrade it. I had the phone before it, a Nokia 3310 for around ten years so I am hoping this one will last just as long..

Enjoy your new iPhone Ffosse, I had a look out of pure nose, but am still not tempted to switch back. I had iphones from the start up to the 6s then changed over to Huawei Honour Phones. I can't honestly see a difference, not in what I use them for.

Exactly. Barry.
I have the same phone incidentally. I bought it outright for £126 early last year and pay £7.50 for the net each month. It does what I need and I prefer not to live my life on it.

Hi

There is no way I would that sort of money for a phone, I would spend it on a holiday.

I ue my phone very little, except when I am travelling.

It has a great sat nav on it and invaluable for online boarding passes.

I don't have a mobile phone of any sort, don't see the need for them.

I actually don't like holidays - not only would they be a waste of time and money to me, but I'd be miserable.
