iPad

Just bought an iPad with retina display, which I am typing on now. It is very fast and typing is easy, having resisted such technological gimmicks before, I may no longer be a Luddite.

How do you get on with predictive text, or words joining together to make nonsense?

Apart from that, it's a good piece of technology, isn't it?

I'm having one of those Kindle Fire HDX tablets for Christmas which I expect is similar.

Don't think its got the retina recognition though. Sounds amazing.

I also bought the new model (iPad Air) a few weeks ago after having an iPad 1 for the last few years. I love it and also have an iPhone and a Mac desktop - I guess I'm an Apple nut really.

The iPad is so good for travelling and this new model is a third lighter and a bit smaller in diameter without losing any screen size so it's even better and fits even more comfortably into my handbag. I don't take print books any more when we go away, don't need a separate GPS or maps. The predictive text does annoy me a bit but I also like the way it puts in apostrophes without having to use the shift key and back.

Apple computers and tablets are certainly much improved since people have discovered that they support Windows.
