Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

On a trip to NZ a few years back John Cleese referred publicly to Palmerston North as the "Most boring town in the country". Shortly after his departure Palmerston Nth opened a new rubbish dump and Named it officially "The Cleese Depot".

I like Cleese's demeanor, he has been rounded by his humour.

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

Now I am rather fond of our no show Loch Ness Nessie so was a bit miffed to hear that some NZ professor was testing Loch Ness DNA to discover what our beloved shy wee beastie is. How very dare he!

The results so far have been delayed thank goodness cos who really wants our mythical monster outed. Somethings should be left alone and left to our own imaginations of what we thing we saurus...no that should be plesiosaurus ..the long necked one of course;-. .

Long live Nessie .

Well the Romans definitly never did anything for us because they never settled here, didn’t fancy the weather I believe, so I suppose it’s true about an ill wind in our case.
But I am happy to say that my six year old grandson Patrizio (that’s no fancy name, it’s just plain Paddy in English) is half Roman and half Dublin, he speaks both English and Italian ever so nice, and is better at the Gaelic than I am, he’s a clever little devil, likes playing tricks and telling jokes, methinks he’ll be a magician when he grows up, why only yesterday he walked down our street and turned into a cul-de-sac.
