Re: Val Doonican

Here you go Muddy.
My mum loved him too. I bought her several of Val's LP's for presents over the years, and when she passed away I didn't have the heart to get rid of them....To be honest, I didn't mind him myself....

Re: Val Doonican

Val Doonican really put men’s patterned cardigans on the map!!

I loved, the song Elusive Butterfly. It was always on the radio when at 16, l used to get up at 6am to go to college some 20 miles away in the 1960’s.

Please would someone put it on here for me. It will probably bring tears to my eyes when l hear it...

Re: Val Doonican

For some reason I always thought that was Johnny Cash. Great song though and I used to enjoy watching Val's TV show.

So did I Longdogs, such a nice relaxed bloke, and did you know he was a prolific guitarist also...

Foxy, Thank You for posting ‘Elusive Butterfly’ for me. It’s just l can’t do it on my iPad.

I don’t suppose you’ve got a Val Doonican YouTube video of ‘Paddy McGinty’s Goat’ or ‘Delaney’s Donkey’ knocking about anywhere?
Thanks if you have!!
