Re: Drink of tea and biscuits - Your favourite biscuits

Rich Tea biscuits used to be the number one biscuit in my family. I tried to carry it off when leaving the nest to see the big wide world on my own. Problem is i could never figure out the 'dunking second rule', i would always end up with half a biscuit at the bottom of the cup, never a good sight.

They'll all have Starbucks blueberry muffins though.
Yeah no problem. I find the uncooperative crusties very forthcoming.

I don’t like Walkers shortbread. Some of their shortbread isn’t all butter!

Dodge, l didn’t eat too many pieces of the shortbread but it is very rich. I realised, it’s just like eating sweet rich pastry without the water in it.
I still have some left and it tastes nicer today!

No you haven’t!

The shortbread looks delicious. Now turn the box over to see all the chemicals and E numbers they contain!

That may be true but I don't bake and I'm dependent on the generosity of baking friends (and I've got but 3) for homemade products - all 3 "bake on demand" just for special occasions so homemade shortbread tends to available only on an irregular basis.

As far as Walkers is concerned, Waitrose say:

https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/produc...-361619-361620

Walkers personally guarantee that this product is made using only the finest ingredients possible to obtain and contains no artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives.

Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Butter (Milk) (32%), Sugar, Salt
I'll buy a pack tomorrow to investigate futher .....
