Smells that evoke memories.

The smell of freshly baked scones will always remind me of my late MIL. The smell of chocolate cake my late Mother.
My son says that the smell of my perfume will always remind him of me when he was small and sprayed nearly a whole bottle all over my room.

Do you have any particular smells that evoke memories of anything?

Marker pens remind me of infant school, I'm sure I will add more when I've had a think.

Aviation fuel from when I used to refuel the bowsers for the AWACS in the RAF. Doesn't get much better than that

Wax floor polish reminds me of infants school when we were made to sit on the floor.

Oh aye yes. That mega shiny highly polished stuff they used to put on the floor of the assembly hall sitting cross-legged singing 'Jerusalem'.

Wax polish always reminds me our house when I was little, and my Mum.

Fresh hay reminds me of animals I used to know.

Lily of the Valley, my old Nan.

I also adore the smell of very young puppies still in the nest.

I share the same memories mostly.
We had a care taker at my school who had a lisp. Mr Sheen would get cross if we slid across his newly polished floor.
"D dddd don't sssssl !!"
He never could finish.

Oh yes Mupsy little puppies, they do smell good. X

The fires on allotments, seemed to be everywhere, nowadays there is less uncontrolled incineration.

Nothing beats the smell of newly baked warm bread.

I like the smell of tar, when they fix the roads, reminds me of my Dad, we both liked weird stuff like that.
