Re: Storm!

We got the pelting rain absolute dark thunder and lightening about 5.15pm just as I was about to take the dog out, glad I wasn't a bit sooner. Newcastle got it it about 2 hours later.

this morning it's sunny but chilly and a bit windy.

Re: Storm!

We had one big bang last night and it put Anglia telly off for a while, so don't know what happened there. It's all back fine again today though.

Re: Storm!

One rumble of thunder and one flash of lightning this afternoon and that was it. Apart from the torriential rain, that is. (Yes I do pronounce torrie-enshall, that was deliberate!!) My Mum and I would have fun with the English language at times!

Re: Storm!

We had terrible storms here last night with torrential rain which kept me awake.

The sheep looked a bit cleaner this morning

Re: Storm!

We had quite a bit of torrential rain here, on and off. Hope the Levels aren't flooded, fancy a trip to Glastonbury tomorrow if my tum will let me.

Waiting for the storm to come to them. After 24 hours fighting fires these volunteers took a quick nap as the fire came toward them.

Re: Storm!

Did you take that photo, Bruce? Whoever did must be very brave! You'll have to forgive our rambling about our favourite topic, the weather! It's been dreadful in Australia, watching the news every day, those poor people and wildlife too! Hope it ends soon.

No storm
Ron, no. As you know, it's very difficult to get a photo of a storm with lightning, but it really was a doozy of a storm. You'll just have to take my word for it.

Thunder rumble was continuous for at least 15 minutes with lightning, then a short lapse, then it started again. I wish it had been during the night as it would have rocked me off to sleep!
