Government 'open' to delaying 21 June England lockdown end date

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-57373933

Matt Hancock said 21 June was a "not before" date to end restrictions under the government's roadmap, and that No 10 "would look at the data". He also said he "wouldn't rule out" the continued wearing of face masks and working from home measures.

Concerns about the spread of the variant first seen in India, now known as Delta, have led some scientists to call for a delay. The recent surge in cases is being partly driven by the increased transmissibility of the Delta variant.
BJ let the variant in and now Soapy has to stop the spread .....

They're all incompetent.
They're not bothered, though, because they know there isn't any other party with any chance of being elected now.

Well, here's the answer to that question – better but not that much, again.
I guess though that's better than increasing daily:

Covid data for Monday, 7 June 2021

UK
Cases 4,516,892 Change: 5,223
Deaths 127,840 Change: 4
Critical 134
Cases per Million 66,213

Figures above are from the data provided in post #4950 on this OFF thread:
