arrh good reminder summer...has to be firmed in as well..then lots of watering....man's work it is never done with...no need to dust and polish it though... ..ok

I've laid many a lawn Dianne it's not just mans work....have to admit I wouldn't attempt laying one in the heat we have here right now as for dusting and polishing...I'll ignore that.

If the weather had been warm and dry for a few days before, would you consider watering the soil the day before?

What I have done in the past with Turfs is keep the area moist, not soaked though, not wanting to rot the roots before it even gets bedded in..had clay soil then so had to add topsoil to it initially. October was best for my soil type, before that it was so dry and cracked like ravines!
Different all together here...so not a black/white answer..soil type and location would change watering procedures.
